'Tis the season...

Dashing through the snow
In a six-dog basket sled
O'er the fields we go
Barking all the way
Bells on collars ring
Oh such a wonderful sight
What fun it is to run the dogs
And go sledding day or night!

Yes, it's definitely that wonderful time of the year! Not all of you may have snow but whether you are a one-dog urban musher or are a big kennel training for the Iditarod, there is no doubt our furry friends just LOVE to run when the temperatures are low.   Enjoy the winter wonderland and go dog sledding or skijoring.  No snow – no problem!  Carting, scootering, or bikejoring give your dogs a wonderful opportunity to express their joy of being outdoors and running in harness.

And of course, Christmas is the season for giving.  If you are looking for some last minute gift ideas, you may want to check out our Alpine Outfitters cap and Alpine Outfitters t-shirt, which are both on sale at 20% off.  Got a friend who loves to scooter/bikejor at night or during the early morning hours?  What better present than a double scooter line with reflective rope!  And while this is our busiest time of the year and custom harnesses do take some time to get made, we do now have ready-made adjustable urban trail harnesses available in standard sizes that would make for a timely stocking stuffer.

It’s also that time of year to pause and reflect and be thankful for our blessings.  We, at Alpine Outfitters, are thankful for our dogs, who give us their unconditional companionship and remind us every day what fun it is to live in the moment.  We are thankful for our friends and family, who help us go “ON BY” when the trail gets rough and tough.  And last, but not least, we are thankful for our customers, for giving us their continued support and for allowing us to share our passion for this wonderful sport.

On behalf of Alpine Outfitters, we wish you the very best during this Christmas season!  Happy Howlidays to all, and to all, a good run!
